This is amazing.
Theo Jansen, a kinetic sculptor from the Netherlands, makes these incredible structures that move by the power of the wind. They are hauntingly beautiful and elegant. To quote Jansen, "the walls between art and engineering exist only in our minds".
BMW have harnessed his brilliance here in a South American ad. Youtube has a number of videos posted. Jansen's own site is here.
Push the boundaries.

Although I do find it cool, it may be a little flimsy as an ad, you could have put any company logo and tag line at the end and would not be able to tell the difference.
It may have worked better as a energy company commercial in which the use of the environment was explored and it would leave you with a sense of the possibilities.
For BMW, personally, this thing he created looked a little too, Da Vinci like and not like those beautiful "driving machines" they have so elegantly built the brand toward.
That is unbelievable! (and very inspiring!)
